Durable 3D Printed Quills

These 3D printed quills / bobbins are an alternative to the cardboard or paper quills.   For Hand Weaving used in shuttles Particular alternative when using an electric double ended winder, cardboard quills can start to warp after a number of uses.  These 3D printed quills are much stronger and will not bend.  

We've designed a short section on one that has threading, similar to a screw, that makes it much easier to start winding by reducing slippage.  The quills are 5.75" long and work well with the Louet Flying Dutchman shuttle.  The Flare Quills generally are preferred for double ended electric bobbin winders;  they also work with the double ended Leclerc bobbin winder.

If you are using the Louet manual bobbin winder, you need to purchase the non-flare quills.  The flare ones may not fit on the post.
